The recent remake did have a new ending that better linked the first entry with its sequel, which always gave vibes that they weren’t done with the franchise just yet. Gloomwood is a new 1st Person survival horror shooter game from New Blood Interactive The PC Gaming Show released its teaser trailer today You, the player, have. Gloomwood from New Blood Interactive takes the best elements from Dishonored, Bloodborne, and Thief to create a terrifying survival-horror experience. Gloomwood isn't the only game New Blood shared an update for during the PC Gaming Show.
The other games came out in 20 respectively and it would be wise to bring more to the table and overhaul the games for the modern audience rather than expect fans to get done playing the remake just to later purchase a game from over a decade ago that isn’t quite as up-to-date. With Gloomwood’s final update for this year, though, you can at least nip in the local tavern now. Gloomwood developer Dillon Rogers took to Twitter to mention that he got a survey asking him to gauge how interested he’d be in remakes of the other Dead Space entries. Oh, and Resident Evil 4’s inventory Tetris, which is possibly the best inventory system ever invented. The classics, in this case the first two Thief games, often offer deeper gameplay, environments, and more, making the modern indie game feel like a hollow copy. Self-styled retro Thief-like FPS Gloomwood is stealthing its way into Steam Early Access on August 16th, an announcement that snuck in as part of last night’s PC Gaming Show.
